Continues To Offer Cloud Services Supported by VMware By Broadcom
Johannesburg, 18 June 2024 – Broadcom has relaunched its VMware Cloud Service Provider (VCSP) programme with new tiers and benefits. VCSP partners will help take VMware Cloud Foundation to a broad set of VMware’s corporate and commercial customers and deliver it as a managed service.
Nymbis Cloud Solutions (Nymbis), a cloud computing, data protection and data centre hosting solutions provider, has joined the Broadcom Advantage Partner Program as a Premier Partner, thereby enabling the company to continue providing cloud services using VMware. Nymbis Cloud is a consumption based, public cloud offering powered by the VMware Cloud Foundation technology stack.
This comes after Broadcom officially purchased virtualisation technology company VMware in November 2023, with the business being renamed to VMware by Broadcom.
VCSP Premier Cloud Service Provider partners have highly developed VMware practices and a consistent track record of delivering customer satisfaction. Premier partners are most often regionally focused, with robust sales and service capabilities, competencies, and technical validations for servicing the managed services needs of customers in geographically specific regions.
Barry Kemp, Managing Director at Nymbis Cloud Solutions, says: “We are extremely pleased and proud to have been become one of a select number of Premier Partners in the sub-Saharan Africa region. Our bespoke cloud infrastructure has been architected and designed to VMware’s reference architecture, and so this continuity is most welcome and affirms our position in the local cloud services arena.”
“As only a select group of organisations have been invited to become partners in the new programme, we continue our long association with VMware. We look forward to continuing our role in the local cloud provider landscape and offering comprehensive service options to our customers, backed by global expertise while bringing our local knowledge and understanding to our clients,” concludes Kemp.
